I am having an issue uploading a product
Experiencing problems while uploading your product? Here are solutions to some of the common errors you may encounter.
First and foremost, please use updated browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to upload and manage your products on Sellfy. Outdated browsers like Internet Explorer may not be able to process all the functionality, and you may run into strange problems like a file download pop-up showing up while you're uploading one.
Error "File upload failed. Please try again later".
Here are a few reasons and solutions to why you might be receiving this error message:
- Your product is over 5GB in file size and the only solution for this is to make it smaller. If it's a little over 5GB, you may try compressing your product file into a .zip or .rar archive. If it's significantly larger and stays over 5GB even after compression, it may not be possible for your customers to download it.
- The upload failed on our end in which case you should try renaming your product. Try replacing all spaces in the file name with either . (dot) - (hyphen) or _ (underscore)
- Only .png and .jpg (or .jpeg) formats are allowed to be uploaded as product images. All other formats are not applicable.
- Make sure that the file is reasonably sized.
Error "Please upload file first".
This error may appear when the upload progress bar is at a 100%, usually when uploading larger files. Even though it may seem that the upload has completed, sometimes it does not mean it has. You need to wait until the blue 'Replace product file' text appears where the progress bar used to be.
